our mission
The Kevin Phillip Mahurin Motorcycle Awareness Foundation was created to bring awareness and education of motorcycles to automobile drivers. Equally as important is education to young new motorcycle drivers about their responsibilities as a safe driver around automobiles.
The foundation will develop literature to educate motorcycle drivers about the importance of motorcycle classes, work with our legislators to mandate classes prior to receiving a motorcycle license and work to bring motorcycle awareness back to driver’s education classes.
Kevin’s foundation will assist families when possible, with expenses due to a motorcycle accident resulting in injury or death.
We would like to also remind drivers about the importance of having all their affairs in order when they decide to ride. Kevin had only been gone from his house a few moments when his accident occurred. We encourage you to settle the issue of where you will spend eternity now. We take great comfort in knowing that we will see Kevin again one day.
The foundation will participate in research and data collection projects, and work with various other organizations to promote awareness of motorcycles.
The Kevin Phillip Mahurin Motorcycle Awareness Foundation was created and founded by Kevin's mother, step-father Karen and Bill Bosch and Kevin's sister, Rachael Mahurin in July of 2008.
